Burlington's Westlake Industries Celebrates 5 Year Anniversary

BURLINGTON, Ontario (February 8, 2011) - February 2011 marks Burlington based Westlake Industries 5th Anniversary in business.

Established in 2005, Westlake Industries is an industry leader in the supply, fabrication and assembly of the highest quality pipe spools, pipe supports, pipe modules and customized skids serving the North American and Global marketplaces.

The company has over 60 employees with two fabrication plants in Burlington, Ontario. Together these plants encompass over 75,000 sq. ft. of fabrication space both of which utilize state-of-the-art design and production fabrication equipment.

Company President Richard Westlake recently commented: "The last 5 years for Westlake Industries has been filled with some challenges, our fair share of successes, a few bumps-in-the road and a lot of personal and business satisfaction. In looking back, I am most proud of what we together as a team and a company have accomplished in our short history."

Some of the more notable Westlake's accomplishments during the past 5 years include earning manufacturing and business Certifications from ISO, the European Union and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). In addition, the company has continually updated their production capabilities with the acquisition of state-of-the-art fabrication equipment.

Additional recognition for Westlake has come from the North American business press. Profit Magazine has ranked Westlake Industries as one of Canada's Hot 50 Emerging Growth Companies two years in a row, 2009 and 2010. The prestigious business publication U.S. Business Review profiled Westlake in their Spring 2010 issue reporting on how their commitment to customer service has helped the company earn a leading position in the pipe fabrication industry. Westlake was also selected a finalist in the 2009 Business Excellence Awards in the Manufacturing Category by the Burlington Chamber of Commerce.
